2006 Technological Innovation:  Ange luminieux, le pare soleil à énergie

Creating a self-powered source of energy using a solar panel.

Principle:

Energy is collected by solar panels and is stored in an battery. In this way you always have an autonomous source of energy at your disposal that can be used to operate low current applications.

1st Application: Sécuri-PASS

In the case of an accident: automatic signalisation, the sun visor illuminates automatically and indicates:

1. that the vehicle’s battery is cut-off. The rescue teams (firemen) can immediately see that the car’s power circuit is completely cut-off. Because of this the firemen can immediately start evacuating the passengers from the vehicle without first having to try and open the bonnet (gain in time, first aid can be given faster, etc.)

2. information about the vehicle’s owner (telephone number or other) is displayed, and in this way there is an INCREASING POSSIBILITY OF SAVING LIFES.

2nd Application: Grande-Ourse (illuminated signalisation of an obstacle)

When driving at night the use of the Ange lumineux, in combination with an emergency triangle, will give the possibility to quickly show a crashed vehicle or an obstacle in the middle of the road that obstructs traffic (trees, animals, etc…).
Because the system is built-in, it can be used quickly and easily.

This invention won the "1st prize of the Ministry of the Interior" during the Lepine competition in 2006
